Sometimes the very best rides come from a day of “I don’t know where I’m going, I’m just going”, that’s how we came across this ride, no plans, just got on our bikes and rode.  This ride is very rural and offers some of the best roads around, with teats like miles of tree lined canopied roads, national forest, ferry ride, and rustic communities that seem to take you back to a time long forgotten.  The Akers ferry crosses the Current river, and if you wanted to you could even rent a canoe and enjoy the river.  With the fall colors coming into play, this would be the perfect time of the year to put this ride on your “to do” list.

Be sure to check out the ferry status sign at the Hwy K & Hwy 17 intersection.

Just remember, the Ozarks has a variety of rides & scenery that you can explore, so if you’re looking for something a little different, then give this one a try.

If you know of a great ride that’s not currently listed on this site, then drop us an email, we’d love to try something new.
